Maiada is an artist, a businesswoman, and the first Franco-Sudanese perfumer.
Infatuated with the beauty of being original, her dream is to take the beauty world where it’s never been.
After all, Maiada’s family were freedom fighters. Their quest was independence. So to her, beauty was never a convenient cliché. It had to be a truth. Being beautiful means revealing the quirks, surprises and colours that make you up.
So she set out to create perfumes that would let anyone do just that.
After learning olfactive design in Grasse and Paris, she gave some ancient Sudanese perfume recipes new worldly dimensions. They liberated all who tried them, The perfumer in Maiada was out, and Tayshaba was born.
A Tayshaba scent is where experiences, rare ingredients and ancestral secrets fuse to make personal statements. To anyone who wears them, they say at last why they’re beautiful, and them alone.

Our Heritage.
Every Tayshaba creation is a distillation of the art of being.
For us, that means mixing culture, courage, heritage, art and rebellion. We take ancestral beauty and secret perfume rituals, artistically recreate them with rare ingredients from across the earth, then add the grit and courage of our freedom fighting ancestors. And finally, the refinement that is Paris.
It’s why a Tayshaba scent is an individual. An admixture of the rebels, tensions, yearnings, fantasies, wishes and dichotomies that we all are. Creations as genuine as you. As quirky, raucous, randy, jealous, fiery, cool, flippant, wayward, stellar, secret, shrewd, subtle, fragile or frank as any one of us.

Loving our beliefs also means loving where we live. Planet Earth. After all, all of us and our beliefs are born in the same place.
It’s why Tashaba is earth-friendly, vegan and cruelty-free. Our ingredients meet the gold standard of aromatic extraction. Low-waste, high-purity. Giving more, yet giving back.
Our musks are biodegradable. Good for the earth, and all of us.
Just like our packaging. All-French, in glass and cellulose paper. The caps in bio-resin and controlled-cultivated plants. The labels are fixed with washable glue.

Our Waves.
Tayshaba’s look is inspired by the form and flow of the Nile. A colourful take on our founder’s story. Where she began, and what she wants to reveal in everyone.
It’s the world’s longest river, spanning countries and crossing cultures. By spanning Sudan and France, Tayshaba embodies the same spirit. Taking in the cultures, histories and experiences that make someone who they are.
